The annual shape of this pyrus salicifolia pendula, what do you think of the finish ? I have been working on this for years, these trees naturally grow to have a high point in the centre with branches and foliage drooping down. Lifting the crown to show the truck and create a base line gives a more defined look to the shape. I am working on trying to centralise the canopy to truck without cutting to hard as to leave a bare patch. Over the years this has thickened and taken the shape you now see.
